FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
October 28, 2024

Raleigh, NC – RightCount is proud to announce the launch of its Leadership Advisory Council in North Carolina, bringing together a distinguished group of civic leaders dedicated to promoting election integrity, educating the public, and building trust in the state’s election processes. The council includes prominent public servants, local officials, law enforcement, and veterans who will work to ensure the upcoming elections are secure, transparent, and reflect the will of North Carolina voters.

Former North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory will work closely with the council to engage communities and reinforce the reforms and safeguards in place to protect the state’s election process. He emphasized the importance of this effort, stating, “North Carolina’s election system is one of the most reliable and resilient in the nation, but public confidence in the system cannot be taken for granted. RightCount is committed to educating voters on the additional security measures North Carolina has implemented. These measures will help ensure every ballot cast is a ballot counted. I look forward to working with the Leadership Advisory Council to help further strengthen voter confidence in our election system.”

Sheriff Donnie Harrison, retired sheriff of Wake County and a member of the Leadership Advisory Council, underscored the connection between election integrity and public safety, saying, “When people have confidence in election outcomes and trust that the rule of law is being followed, it strengthens our communities and protects public safety. RightCount’s preparation, public education and work are vital in making sure our election officials uphold their oath, and every citizen can trust the process and the outcome.”
